March is here already????

When did it become MARCH????? It snuck up on me! Today is really warm and sunny off and on.  Sheila and I have been working all day with the windows open in the studio.......HEAVEN!!  Other than the phone ringing off and on, it's been a really quiet day.  Neither of us feel the need to talk constantly...so it's literally QUIET! LOL!!!  The birds are singing outside and Honeybunny has spent the day trying to divide his time between the window sill in the sun chattering at the birds...("OOOOoooo.....they'd taste SO good!") and taking long naps.  Sheila has been tracing all of the stitcheries for the March retreat.........YES!  They're all traced and ready to go when you get here!........ and I've been finishing up the quilt above....I think I'm going to call it "Joyful Poinsettias".  It's very much fun and (you can't tell by this photo) it has parts stitched in a new sparkly floss from Cosmo!  I haven't used metallic or sparkly floss since my crosstitch days....OH the tangles and shredding, and language that would make a sailor blush!!!  This floss lived up to the usual Cosmo standards.... minimum of tangles, easy to thread the needles, no catching in the fabric and no shredding!  It was surprisingly easy to work with!  YAY!!!  I'm going to have to use it in something else!!!!
What is it with cats and boxes????
I just had to share this...I sat down at my desk and he woke up just long enough to peer at me through the pencils....Sweet little face!
I have some really great pix of quilts and things to show you that you've sent in....sorry, just don't have time to get them up today....I'm on to the next project...."tick-tock-tick-tock" ! YIKES!!!  Quilt market is coming up and the March Stitching Sojourn Retreat is in..........OMG!!!  Two weeks??????
UGH.....I really need to clean my house......OR!....can I talk everybody into believing that it's an old tradition to decorate for spring with dust bunnies??????  No?...didn't think so.

Oh Meg, I just love your new quilt. I agree with
Anne, a floss kit would be nice.
Darling kitty, don't you just love how they keep us company while we work at out tables?

Listen, Meg, I tell my best friend all the time, "NO ONE is going to judge you because your house is dusty!" We all have dust bunnies!! ;0

I'd recommend having a cleaning service come in and do a one time cleaing but I have found them to be very hard on the house.
