Early Summer Contest

Hi everybody! Sorry it's been so long since my last post. There's been a lot going on. Nothing terribly exciting.... working on new patterns, high school graduation (Cyndy's daughter Emily graduated last weekend!) end of school playdays (Cindy & Sheila have been shuttling between this school & that with school trips & pizza parties & water parks...) But, school will be out this week and we'll all hopefully get into a little bit lazier summer rhythm.

We've been working on some special things for our shop hop vistitors in July & we're really looking forward to a visit from a group of lovely ladies from New Zealand on a quilting holiday. They'll be passing through on their way to the Sisters Quilt Show & are going to stop by for a visit & lunch. We can't wait to meet them!

Oh, and..... OUR COSMO FLOSS HAS ARRIVED!!!! We've received our 6 strand skeins & they're all up on the website. We only have 45 colors for now but will be another order with more colors & the 2 strand multiwork spools very soon!

Speaking of the spools.... How would you like to win a Moda Layer Cake & a coordinating spool of Cosmo floss???? Just enter our Early Summer Contest!
A few weeks ago I found a whole bunch of old sign letters. The letters that I have are shown above. Make up words that we can hang in the studio or the garden using these letters & email them to us at info@crabapplehillstudio.com before July 1st. We'll put all the entries in a hat & the first 6 that are drawn will win a Moda Layer Cake & a coordinating spool of Lecien's Cosmo 2 strand multiwork embroidery floss! YAHOO!! We'll also have a special prize for the person who sends in the longest word or phrase. Give it some thought & then send in your entry!

We've received a few new photos from Knot-y Girls!

The first is an Embroiderer's Blessing by "hiccup girl" Shellee. She always does such beautiful work! I love your frame. Thanks Shellee!

The next pictures are from Rosalind Blackford. These are her beautiful quilts, Twas the Night Before Christmas & Winter Wonderland. I'd love to be able to see them in real life! She also sent us a cake recipe that sounds yummy! We can't share it tho..... it's a secret recipe! We're so spoiled!

Well, I'm off to water my flowers on the porch... (they're looking decidedly wilt-y!) and then I'd better trace off another bird block for the Flight of Fancy quilt... I'll take a picture one of these days so that you can see it! Bye!

Don't forget to enter our contest!

Boy...this won't be easy. You have no B! And you're limited on your E's. Can't you just make up more letters??? ;-)
